Neil Underhill

Neil Underhill is the Principal of Neil Underhill & Associates, a chartered accounting practice located in Suva, Fiji. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Practicing Accountants Association of Australia and was previously a member of the New Zealand Institute of Accountants. He is the immediate Past President of the Fiji Branch of CPA Australia, a position he held for 15 years.

Neil was born in Suva, Fiji and was educated at Suva Grammar School and Barker College in Sydney. He graduated from the University of New South Wales with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree including Double Majors in Accounting & Financial Systems and Business Finance.

Neil’s firm specialises in tourism related work including, financial forecasting, Going Concern valuations, acquisitions and disposals advice and assistance, legal and management structures, and capital raising. It does not undertake audit work by choice.

Neil has a long history of involvement in the Tourism Sector. His work has involved start-ups from initial hotel and resort concept planning and financial feasibility studies, appointing construction firms, appointing management firms, strategic reviews, critical accounting and financial analysis and reviews, obtaining project and working capital finance, obtaining MBO finance and venture capital. Neil has worked on many tourism projects in both the North and South Pacific, where he maintains excellent high level contacts.

Neil was awarded a Commander of the Order of the Crown of Tonga by His Majesty King George Tupou V in 2008 and the Grand Cross of the Order of the Crown of Tonga in 2011 for services to the Kingdom. He also established His Majesty’s Coronation Charity Trust and is a Founding Trustee. Neil is the Honorary Counsel in Fiji for both Finland and Sweden and an Honorary Correspondent for the UK Government for Tonga.

Working with PERROTTET PARTNERS, Neil provides detailed financial management and due diligence services as part of feasibility studies, acquisition and divestment projects and capital raising assignments.
